Pulsar Krypton XG50

SKU: PUL-77375

A True Thermal Upgrade…

The Krypton XG50 features a 640×480 12µm thermal imaging sensor and 1746×1000 HD AMOLED display for high definition, high contrast thermal imagery and astonishing thermal sensitivity in all kinds of weather conditions. Attaching a Pulsar 5×30 quick-release monocular converts this device into a thermal spotting monocular.

Highly Sensitive Thermal Sensor

The Krypton XG50 thermal imaging monocular uses a 640×480 12µm thermal sensor to provide high quality, crisp thermal imagery and enhanced identification of animals and their extremities, revealing even the smallest of details such as branches, grass, leaves, and terrain – regardless of adverse weather conditions or environments where thermal contrast is low.

Detection Range

Combining the thermal sensor with a powerful objective lens, the Krypton XG50 provides an unprecedented detection range of up to 2300m (of a standard 1.8m tall object or animal) in total darkness.

Pulsar 5x30B Monocular

The addition of the Pulsar 5x30B quick release monocular allows the Krypton XG50 to be used as a handheld thermal imaging device. A simple turn of the monocular and the user can achieve 5x magnification for natural daytime observation.

Also Available without Monocular

The Krypton XG50 is also available as the Krypton FXG50, removing the Pulsar 5x30B Monocular for use as a thermal imaging front attachment to convert day optics into a thermal imager.

Quick Release Adaptor

The Krypton XG50 thermal imaging module attaches easily to spotting scopes and binoculars using a PSP adapter, thus converting them into a fully-fledged thermal imaging device. One end of the adaptor attaches to a secure threaded joint, and the other end mounts on the lens barrel of the daytime optic. Living up to its name, this Quick Release Adaptor takes mere seconds to remove and reinstall; and, for optimum comfort, the precise positioning mechanism allows for perfect alignment of the thermal image in the daytime optic’s field of view. Most importantly, this Quick Release Adaptor can be mounted on the Krypton XG50 thermal imaging module, even when in use with the 5x30B monocular.

Take a Closer Look

Watch as Dave at Thomas Jacks talks us through how to turn the Krytpon XG50 into a handheld thermal spotter using the Pulsar 5x30B Monocular attachment.

Thermal imagery is presented on the Krypton XG50’s 1746×1000 HD AMOLED display, providing richly contrasted, crystal clear, and vivid imagery. This display will ensure flawless, high-resolution imagery whilst simultaneously saving power.

8 Hours Battery Life

Achieve up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge (depending on temperature) thanks to the quick change replaceable IPS7 battery pack, operating effectively the whole night through without needing to be replaced.

Tough & Durable Design

The rugged but durable magnesium alloy design of the Krypton XG50 ensures structural integrity and protection against impact forces and vibrations. To increase operational stability, the metal body of this device is resistant against external mechanical, temperature, and climactic influences, and simultaneously works as a heat sink to effectively remove and dissipate heat from internal electronic components.

Recoil Resistant

The Krypton XG50 is also recoil rated up to 6,000 joules, offering flawless performance even on large calibres up to .375 H&H, 12-gauge and 9.3×64.

IPX7 Waterproof

The Krypton XG50’s IPX7 waterproof rating, means it is protected against heavy rainfall, snow, fog, and other precipitation. It will even run flawlessly after submersion in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes.

Operating Temperatures

The housing, power unit, optics, and electronics have all been designed for use within a wide variety of temperatures and environments, meaning the Krypton XG50 thermal imaging monocular will operate reliably in extreme temperatures, from -25 to +50°C.

Point of Impact Stability

A sequential layout of optical and electronic components within the Krypton XG50 provides precise sight alignment and ease of adjustability. This allows the user to focus on fast target acquisition and shot placement in low-light conditions, removing the need for any stressful, complex adjustments. The design ensures stability of the point-of-impact when focusing for different distances.

Built-In Video Recorder

The Krypton XG50’s built-in still image and video recorder enables the user to capture once-in-a-lifetime experiences when out in the field, allowing them to relive their favourite moments over and over. It even offers the ability to easily share these moments with friends and family using the Stream Vision 2 app. One press of the REC button is all it takes to capture hours of footage or thousands of images.

The built-in Wi-Fi module in the Krypton XG50 allows for connection of the device to Android or iOS smartphones or tablets using the Stream Vision 2 app. This app opens up a wide array of features and controls over digital functionalities. Users can store their photos and videos on the app’s 16GB of free cloud storage. An important note: The Krypton XG50 is still compatible with the previous iteration of the Stream Vision app.
